hi, i'm winston, thanks for visiting. built by win/ston is my personal site, a collection of apps i'm currently building, and the homebase for anything that i find cool/am excited about

currently working on:

  • i use claude code, gemini, opencode, and ampcode daily so i built this to super optimize my workflow. i love it so much that i hate when i work on it because it doesn't work when i'm developing.

  • i love to write and reflect on what i'm learning and life in general.

  • in another life, i always had a camera in my hand, so i built this to hyper optimize my offloading workflow after taking a bunch of pictures and videos on trips. now i'm adding features as i need them and working to market this as i begin to do content creation again.

  • my friend nikita and i love going to live music events, so we're building a way for friends to easily connect about the events they are going to/are interested in going to. we're working on some really cool stuff!! if you like concerts, go check it out!

  • in my years of hyper-optimizing my stack for web apps, i've found the absolute cheapest way to ship a side project for a whopping total of $0. i'm working on shipping this AI ready template for anyone to quickly build apps without thinking about the infrastructure or cost because everything works.

  • desktop boilerplate

name tbd but i think everyone is obsessed with saas but i've always gravitated towards desktop apps. i've had extensive experience working in tauri and electron. i found that desktop apps are great because they do not need to have a server and can operate completely offline. the thing with being an engineer is the server always gotta be online, flashbacks to 3am oncall pages is not the life i want to live. i feel that shipping a mostly bug free product that works offline is a huge pressure release as an engineer because if it works... it just works. so i'm hyper-optimizing this boilerplate with all my learnings so that i can teach people how to build desktop apps FAST and for CHEAP.
